First Monday with Allonic
Fireside Chat
9th of February 2026 @CREATE26
We held an evening dedicated to the future of robotics on February’s First Monday with Allonic, a Pázmány University spin-off, showcasing its 3D Tissue Braiding–built robotic hand. CEO Benedek Tasi and Day One Capital’s Zsolt Weiszbart discussed scaling deep-tech and teased Allonic’s now-public $7.2M pre-seed round.

event description

February’s First Monday was truly a special one! We have introduced an evening on why robotics was set to define the coming decade — and why winning would depend as much on breakthroughs in hardware, manufacturing, and real-world reliability as on smarter software.

We hosted Allonic, a standout Hungarian robotics team spun out of Pázmány University. Their mission was to replicate human-like motion without added complexity or cost, and they showcased a lifelike robotic hand made with their proprietary 3D Tissue Braiding method, which “grew” muscle- and tendon-like structures around a 3D-printed skeleton in a single automated process — no intricate assembly required.

Allonic was already gaining global attention as a finalist for the Formnext 2025 Startup Award, and the team shared that their second-generation system was 5× faster and 3× more detailed than the first.

The fireside chat featured Allonic CEO and founder Benedek Tasi and Day One Capital Partner Zsolt Weiszbart, exploring the trends shaping robotics, what it took to scale deep-tech, and how Allonic was unlocking new possibilities in robot design — with a teaser of the since public announcements of their $7.2M in pre-seed funding revealed at the event.
