event description

We were excited to have Szabolcs Patay and László Virág with us to talk about the journey of starting and scaling Commsignia, lessons learned, and recent developments. We joined for an insightful fireside chat and our regular ecosystem mingle.

After their Series B was announcement on the 5th of September, we also revealed extended invitations to some of Commsignia's investors: Csaba Kakosy (Managing Partner at Day One Capital) and Bence Gergely (Principal at Portfolion), who joined the discussion.

Commsignia was founded by Jozsef Kovacs, Laszlo Virag, Andras Takacs and CEO Szabolcs Patay. Over the years, Budapest-based Commsignia became a leader in vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology, worked with customers like Qualcomm, Samsung and raised money from top European VCs such as Partech, Inventure, and Karma Ventures. They offer top-tier Vehicle Communications (V2X) products to decrease the number of injuries and fatalities in traffic and maximize transport efficiency. Their solutions provide real-time traffic insights, protect all road users including pedestrians and cyclists, and prioritize emergency responders at smart intersections. V2X is crucial for autonomous driving. Commsignia assists automotive and micromobility manufacturers in joining the V2X ecosystem, ensuring a safer, connected driving experience through sensor sharing. Jozsef passed away in late 2021, his legacy in building up Commsignia lives on.
